Founded in 1783, the Concert de la Loge rose from the ashes in 2015 on the initiative of Julien Chauvin. Considered one of the finest orchestras in Europe, it is best remembered for commissioning Joseph Haydn to write the Paris Symphonies. The Concert de la Loge gave its first concerts thanks to the protection of Marie-Antoinette, as the subtitle of the fourth Parisian symphony, "The Queen", recalls. Distinguished guest Sandrine Piau shares this original programme in the purest tradition of the period, combining vocal works, usually opera arias, with instrumental works. She plays the role of Selene in an aria from Giuseppe Sarti's Didone abbandonata (1762), recorded as a world premiere, and shines in the spectacular aria of Diana from Johann Christian Bach's serenade Endimione. We will also (re)discover the jewels of Henri-Joseph Rigel, violist of the Concert de la Loge, the Symphony op. 12 n. 4 (1774). A well-informed booklet accompanies this long-awaited premiere!

Fondé en 1783, le Concert de la Loge renaît de ses cendres en 2015, à l'initiative de Julien Chauvin. Considéré comme l'un des meilleurs orchestres d'Europe, il est resté célèbre pour sa commande des Symphonies Parisiennes à Joseph Haydn. Le Concert de la Loge donna ses premiers concerts grâce à la protection de Marie-Antoinette comme le rappelle le sous-titre de la quatrième symphonie parisienne « La Reine ». Sandrine Piau, invitée de marque, partage ce programme original dans la plus pure tradition de l'époque, associant des pages aussi bien vocales, en général des airs d'opéra, qu'instrumentales. Elle incarne Sélène dans un air extrait de Didone abbandonata (1762) de Giuseppe Sarti enregistré en première mondiale, et brille de mille feux dans l'air spectaculaire de Diane extrait de la sérénade Endimione de Johann Christian Bach. On (re)découvrira également les bijoux d'Henri-Joseph Rigel, altiste du Concert de la Loge, la Symphonie op. 12 n. 4 (1774). Un livret richement informé accompagne cette première réalisation tant attendue !
